WEEK 6.
You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. |

She seems calm right now, and it could be perceived as eerie. Or it could be perceived as someone who's decided she was going to live at all costs and not be afraid anymore.]
No, you're not. I was just... praying... since I heard that this is a place where you try to contact gods. We don't have things like that in my world, but who knows if there is someone like that who wishes to help us here.

Sayaka walks in, then, smiling herself. It's...a little more strained, and she runs her fingers through her hair on instinct--it's probably gonna look a little odd because of the cut, but...]
They don't have anything like that in your world? Weird...we usually have shrines and temples for this sort of thing, but things like this are a common sight as well. I'm not sure what kind of god you could contact, but hopefully it's a benevolent one...
[She stops next to Estelle.]
...Have you been doing alright? I haven't spoken to you for a bit, but I wanted to check on you.

There are shrines, but they're nothing but ruins anymore. I'm sure people used to worship the Entelexeia as gods-- fantastic beasts who had tremendous power --but that is no more. My world is dying, but we found out a way to turn the Entelexeia into spirits to revive the world. That is the closest thing we have.
[Estelle takes one of her hands and places it gently on her chest.]
Undine, I can't sense her at all, but I have faith she is watching over me.
[Undine is no god, but Estelle almost revers her as one with the way she looks.]
And yes, I've been doing well, actually. While the events here have been awful, my dreams have been kind to me so it's... strange.
[She looks to Sayaka.]
How about you? Are you faring well?
no subject
It means there's hope, for her. There's hope for the world, even as it's dying.]
...I'm glad to hear that. It...sounds like things are already looking better for you, that life is changing so wonderfully. You deserve to have something like that happen, after all of the hardship...
[She can't help but be a little envious, and Sayaka...well, she doesn't quite look at Estelle when she speaks, averting her gaze. Between that swerve of a memory and Alena...she's...]
If I can be honest, I'm...honestly not. [Sayaka runs her fingers through her hair, as if she's...trying to get a grip, but can't now.] It's a bit of a long story, honestly. And...Alena-san's demise didn't help, at all. I can't...really look in the mirror anymore, because of it--I'd asked her if she could cut my hair, and she did it that morning before she...
[...]
She--she actually looked happy, for once.

[Estelle's expression fades into that of sadness upon hearing that.]
She always seemed distant, but kind. However, I hadn't spoken to her after I found out she was the executor since she... honestly terrified me. I wasn't sure how to approach her after that, but I rather wished I did.
[Though at the same time she's glad she didn't because she's had enough heartbreak here.]
I'm glad to know there were some people here she likely considered friends, considering her job.

[...]
The way Alena-san talked about the others...she said she felt sad for everyone who dies here, because she...thinks that everyone deserves to have someone who misses them when they die, even if they're bad people. It's...I don't know, I felt like I saw something different in her when she talked about that? Maybe she was just telling me what I wanted to hear, but I...I don't know if she had that in her. Or maybe she did, and I fell for it.
But I don't know. She just seemed...very, very lonely to me. And...I don't know. Maybe I've just gone a bit soft.
[...she's gonna rub at her eye a bit, don't mind her.]
no subject
[That she felt someone needed to be sad for those who died. It was odd, but she respected it. She was just immensely confused when Alena executed culprits.]
Before all this happened, I really did want to be her friend, but...
[She holds her hands together, fidgeting with them as she bites her bottom lip.]
...she got upset with me when I asked her for a book to read before we got the library and said she wasn't there for my entertainment. I had planned to speak with her the following week, but I... got scared when I found out she killed people like that. I wonder if that wasn't the right choice.
no subject
[Oof. She never saw that kind of reaction out of Alena, so she just kind of...cringes a bit in sympathy. Then again, she never asked for anything...maybe it was just a bad subject, but...]
...It...happens to the best of us, Estelle-san. I mean, I didn't bother to speak with her for weeks after--if she hadn't tried to speak with me, I wouldn't have tried at all. I don't think the blame falls on your shoulders for that, though. You can't be blamed for being afraid, so...don't keep that guilt held too deeply in your heart, okay?
[Sayaka smiles a bit.]
I'll miss her enough for the both of us, believe me.
no subject
[Which Alena probably needed something like that in retrospect.]
no subject
...I was, yeah. She may have been one of the people who ran this, but...I don't know. She reminded me of me, but...the 'me' before I came here.
no subject
[That much she thought she got. Alena seemed kind and distant like she didn't want this, but she had to do this.]
no subject
[There's...a little more, there, but Sayaka smiles easily enough.]
So, those spirits...you said one is 'Undine', right? What is she like?
no subject
Yes, the spirits. Undine is the only one we know of, but we know how to create more of them. Undine is very kind and very forgiving. I find her kindness to be refreshing after all that I did to her.
no subject
...I'm glad that you were able to help her, then. It sounds like she's a motherly presence, right?

[Estelle said she was into that, after all. Maybe some new legends will be born, from whatever happens to her world...]
no subject
[She can only imagine how that would go, using her story as a plot.]
A story of death and hopelessness that turns into a story of hope and rebirth. It would be a wonderful tale that would send a good message.

[Sayaka pumps her fist in the air, as a sort of cheering motion! You got this Estelle.]
no subject
[She giggles as she claps her hands together. This is something she's truly happy to hear.]
Well, when I get it written I'll certainly give you one to share with everyone!
