WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

[And here they are! Let's go get some eggs and stuff, and get started on this.]

Where do you come from, though, out of curiosity? Are you from America?

[And here is a European country she will never have heard of, uh.]

[...That sure is a country she has never heard of, dang. She'll get her eggs started while she looks a little surprised.]

Really? Huh...I don't think I've heard about it, actually. It must be a very charming place, though, right?

That it is! I miss it dearly right now, I must admit.

I can only imagine. [Sayaka smiles. She can't quite understand missing home herself, all things considering, but...well, she's gonna get the fried rice started once the eggs are nice and beaten.] A place like this...it really makes you think about how much you take what you have at home for granted, sometimes. It's terrible.

...It does, doesn't it? I've been wondering what's been happening since I was brought here.

It's been over a month now, I'm certain all of us have people wondering what happened.

...Honestly, I feel the same way. Of course, there's...two layers to that, obviously, but I just hope that everyone at home is okay, and that there aren't any problems at home. I'd feel terrible if everyone was working themselves to death, only to find that...

[...Just kind of kills that sentence right where it stands while she keeps on cooking.]

Well, you get what I mean, right?

...Yeah. I want to hope the same. We don't have much we can do that isn't hope at the moment.

But it's all we have right now to keep us going.

...How do you keep that up, Cabanela-san? Isn't it...isn't it hard, with all of the memories, and with everything that keeps happening?

[She fakes it well enough, but man. She kind of admires his resolve.]

My mother used to tell me "fake it until you make it."

[So yeah it's mostly an act.]

...I wouldn't have expected.

[Cabanela...]

You always seem so firm, and chipper...like it's hard to get you down. It's really admirable, you know?

Sometimes, when working tough cases, it's important to keep the newbies going. Our current situation is a much more serious version of that, in a way.


If everyone falls into despair, well.... it won't be pretty.
