WEEK 6.

WEEK 6 You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward. It seems like there's no end in sight. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself. The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

Rideaux can safely say he has never been asked to spar by a teenage girl before. But from what Adelina has told him, it doesn't surprise him as much as it could.]

You know what? Sure. I'd like to see what you can do.

[A princess who goes out and does the monster-slaying for her people has to be able to put up a decent fight.]

Of course. I will warn you that my prowess in this particular area is not incredibly high, but I would be glad to give it my best attempt.

[Her monster slaying has been done strictly through swordplay (it isn't incredibly effective to punch a dragon), but she's learned a bit about hand to hand combat since coming here.]

[What do you mean, punching a dragon totally works in JRPG land--]

That's fine, but I do hope that you don't expect me to go easy on you for admitting that.

[Rideaux...]

[For some reason, it gets a smile out of her. Despite having just admitted that she doesn't know much about this style, it's assured.]

Of course. It would be much more difficult to learn if that weren't the case. Besides, I've been through worse than a sparring match.

[evilfrenzy]

Fair. I would assume that sparring and monster-slaying are incredibly different.

[He clearly wouldn't know. Clearly.]

[bloodbiter]

Well, yes. We aren't using swords now, after all.

[But she takes a defensive stance without hesitance, glancing towards him.]

I am ready when you are.

[evilfrenzy]

Very well.

[Cracking his knuckles, Rideaux settles into a fighting stance of his own. Sounds like Adelina wants him to make the first move, which he's happy to oblige. When he does move though, he's quick. He dashes toward her, aiming to land a hit on her left side.]

[bloodbiter]

[She's quick as well, but not as well trained as he is - the blow lands even as she tries to dodge. She grimaces for a moment but manages to stop herself from staggering before taking advantage of their proximity and aiming a kick at his waist.]

[evilfrenzy]

[Ooh, not a bad plan. Rideaux's been working on brushing off the rust on his reflexes, so he manages jump back enough to avoid the brunt of Adelina's kick. To keep his balance, he...does a back flip. How extra.]

Not bad. I half-expected you to stagger there.

[He's inviting another opening for Adelina to strike.]

[bloodbiter]

[Her eyebrows definitely raise a bit at that backflip, but then she looks focused. As she decides the best way to strike:]

It will take more than that to make me misstep.

[And then she's rushing in to aim a hit at his ribcage.]
