WEEK 6.

WEEK 6

You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward.

It seems like there's no end in sight.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself.

The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well.

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 19

[OOC: Welcome to week six of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!

If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena Hilda!]
heritrix: (I see what you did)

God has nothing to do with it. [She turns the picture towards herself.] What he shows me in my dreams is hell. I know that sounds dramatic, but there's no better way for me to describe it.
matchbreaker: (I sense this will be useful)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-22 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
[ Honestly, to the old vampire that hardly rules it out. But at the same time - well, she exhales, bounding down the last two steps and motioning for the girl to continue on her path. ]

If he's walking into so many ends, the results must be ugly.
heritrix: (who got sad in my tea)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-22 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
...Yeah. He's a hero that can never save anyone. When he's summoned it's only to kill, again and again. It didn't take long for him to lose hope.
matchbreaker: (Depression News)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-22 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
So more an assassin than a hero, really.

[ Nod, nod. ]
heritrix: (team sarcasm)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-23 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
A bit. I bet he's eligible for that class, in fact. But I summoned him as an Archer.
matchbreaker: (She-Hulk!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-25 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
... What, there's assassin colleges now?

[ ??????? ]
heritrix: (bored now)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-25 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Not school classes, dummy. Class, as in classification.
matchbreaker: (Get off my dick)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-25 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't call me dumb.

[ Forehead flick ]

Okay, so you've got classes of people based on jobs and demigods, why don't you just back up to be beginning. So you summoned this whacked out hero and... what? Fought a bunch of gods?
heritrix: (shove off)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-25 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, just a few.

[Rin rubs at her forehead with a scowl, tempted to flick Elda back. But no, no, be cool and elegant, Rin...]

I didn't know their identities at first, but we worked it out along the way. CĂș Chulainn is an Irish demigod, who was summoned as the Lancer-class Servant. And even someone like you has heard the legend of Heracles, right? He was summoned as Berserker.
matchbreaker: (WITH CRUEL INTENTIONS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-26 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, I think I know that Chulainn guy. He's that fellow from the legends with the spear and he killed a dog and he went into battle frenzies or something like that, right?

[ . . . Huh. ]

So it's a big legend fight? Holy hell, Hercules.
heritrix: (cool lean)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-26 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh, does she? That's right, Elda was originally from Europe. His tale would have been more well known there...]

Mhmmm. [She sounds incredibly casual.] The Holy Grail War. It's a battle to the death among magi, between seven Masters and seven Servants.
matchbreaker: (MUSIC)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-26 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
You were in another one of these death games?

[ why does everyone she know come from a fuckin death game??? ]
heritrix: (listen up class)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-26 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not a game! It's an important ritual. We're also not locked in a building or anything; the battleground is all of Fuyuki.
matchbreaker: (She-Hulk!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-27 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
That's still some match of death, girl.

[ :T ]

The Servants here, they're... those heroes and gods, and then you kill each other to get the Jesus cup?
heritrix: (look here)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-27 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Rin frowns a bit at "Jesus cup", like that's not quite right, but doesn't correct her. It's apparently close enough.]

Until the last Master and Servant pair are left standing, yes. But unlike this scenario, each of us are willing participants. It's impossible to summon a Servant that doesn't answer the Grail's call.
matchbreaker: (wait that's the wrong lyrics)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-27 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
... So why are we fighting over it all? Immortality or something?

[ I mean, it is the Jesus cup. ]
heritrix: (and I know you feel it)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-27 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
It's not the cup most are after, but the mana reservoir inside of it. Essentially, the Holy Grail has the power to grant any wish.
matchbreaker: (She-Hulk!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-27 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh.... Oh. Okay, so it's like a magic pool in there? I guess that makes sense. So you summon a bunch of dead guys who want to resolve their regrets, you guys all have some sort of ambition, you kill each other until one wish remains.

[ ... So fourteen people walk in (seven fake) and then you do it until the end there? That's probably a small price for a wish, isn't it? She glances at the painting of the girl... huh. ]
heritrix: (say what?)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-29 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, you followed that really well.

[It's like you were on the second route, so you could scene skip the tutorial.]

But that's the general premise, yes.
matchbreaker: (LOCK IT)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-29 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
I did, but that sounds completely insane.
heritrix: (could it be?)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-10-29 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
I'd expect that response from anyone else. There are even mages who would balk, but I grew up around the concept, so my opinion isn't the standard one.

The Tohsaka have sought the Grail for centuries, so it's natural I'd fight.
matchbreaker: (While u sleep)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-29 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[ for... centu-- wait-- wait ]

And they ain't won it yet, or everyone's just bad at wishing?
heritrix: (whatever you say)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-11-02 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
The past four Holy Grail Wars have had no winner. Either every participant was killed before one could reach it, or the Grail itself was destroyed.

Well, if someone had won it anyways, I wouldn't be participating now.
matchbreaker: (She-Hulk!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-02 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
There can only be one winner ever?
heritrix: (whistle)

[personal profile] heritrix 2017-11-02 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
...Mm, I wouldn't say there can only be one winner, but there can only be one prize. If someone ever seizes the Grail and makes a wish, I'm sure the Holy Grail Wars would finally end.
