Week 2.
Two people are dead. Ken Kaneki has been murdered, Reaver has been executed - and perhaps most uncomfortably, the Conductor is proud of you all for adhering to due process. (As always, by which he means that there is a process, and you all are certainly doing it.) Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... However, once you've shaken that off, there are new things to be looked at; the previously closed-off area near the kitchen has been unlocked, and there's a new floor to be explored - consider it your reward for a job well done. |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains as well!
The Letters and Switchboard posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

("You already are a fucking cliche, Ash," Emily would tell her, rolling her eyes and shaking her head and telling Matt to go get her a pumpkin spice latte refill a few moments later.
She'd try to ignore it or protest, but Josh would push her hat down and lean on her shoulder and quip, "Aw, which Instagram filter are ya using today?" and she'd have to swat him off and pout. Chris and Sam would tell him to knock it off, but they'd be hiding their own laughter. In a perfect world, Jess would be talking with Emily and Mike would show up late, making a show of everything and no one would fight. In an extra perfect world, Hannah would shyly sip a drink with too much whipped cream, and Beth would dryly mock them all.)
But instead, Ashley is here, in a quiet library with no books she recognizes, a lot of yarn, and a lifetime of trauma.
...Hey, but. Good things, right! Don't focus on the bad! Throughout the day, she'll be looking for a few specific people! Asuka, Marty, Jean, Weiss, and Logan: there's some handmade accessories for you people.]

With a sigh, Marty tosses the book to the side. It doesn't feel good not having Doc around. Especially, especially knowing he was gone. There wasn't any way to forget this, and it was driving him crazy.
Maybe he should just get up and go. Looking stuff up and staring at this picture all day is making him feel absolutely miserable. ]
no subject
Marty? Hi, I was just about to go look for you- um, are you- you don't look so good.
no subject
[ He tits his head to the side after a moment or two and shakes his head. ] 'S because I'm reading educational books. [ Marty looks over to her and grins. ] Learning makes me sick.
no subject
That's not entirely too convincing, Marty; she's friends with the absolute king of "no, it's nothing, I'm fine," (well she was friends with him) so you're going to need to step up your game...but well, what could be fine in this place? So she gives him a suspicious smile and sets down the hat she's going to town on.]
You should get that looked at. How're you going to get out of high school if you're allergic to it? [And reaches behind her, into a little bundle of yarn products, oh where is it...]

library;
If nothing else, though, Asuka doesn't seem to mind Ashley's company. A light tapping on the side of one of the bookshelves to let her know she's there... ]
Found something you like?
no subject
Kind of. Nothing from home, but it's not really bad, just kind of...taking stock, you know? [At the moment, she's taking a break from her handicrafts to read- something, some kind of Edgar Allen Poe equivalent.] What about you?
no subject
Taking stock sounds like as good of a plan as any, though. This Conductor of ours has an interesting taste in authors.

Hello, Ashley. How are you?
[Probably still a mess, but at least she's out and about. That's worth something, he thinks.]
no subject
[A mess. Yes, a mess, most definitely, but she's looking a bit better at least, seems the ointment and powder's helping! ...Doesn't look so well-rested, but, you know. She's trying her very best.]
I'm...still kicking. Looking for a place to work on all my crafts.
no subject
Ah, how are you doing with them? It certainly is ambitious to want to make something for all of us.
[He sounds pleased though; it's nice to see Ashley working so hard for everyone.]
no subject
[She doesn't even give him a chance to answer; behind her, she's stashed a little bunch of finished accessories, and the one she takes out is... Well, given what he requested, it should look familiar.]
Tada! Just finished this morning.

I have some information for you. It's not much, but it's a start for whenever our next meeting happens.
no subject
Information? What kind of information?
no subject
The Conductor told me he was only given the information on our profiles. It seems that while he might be keeping an eye on us, injuries we got before coming here just aren't something he's aware of.
[Of course, the Conductor could be full of shit, but he'll leave that part unstated.]
He called it an "oversight"; he's never outright lied to us yet, but what do you make of it?

When she walks into the library she wanders among the bookshelves for a while, looking for anything that looks interesting enough, and when she spots Ashley she immediately abandons her quest for a decent book to plop down next to her. ]
What are you knitting?

Chie. Hi, you're...awfully quiet. Um, actually I'm working on your hat.

I wasn't sure if you'd want sugar, but I added milk.
[With that, she'll put down both cups, managing a smile.]
How are you holding up?
always up for late gracebucks
This will be great, thank you. How'd you know I was just craving a little pick-me-up?
[As for the question, well.]
I'm...oh, you know, keeping busy.
no subject
[A nod.]
That's as well as any of us could do. I'm glad you're in a little better spirits, though.
