It's time for an after party!
[About an hour after the trial and subsequent execution, Cabanela makes a decision.
They need to do something, keep the morale up, however little it may be.
Under each occupied room door people will find the following note written:
In difficult times such as this, it is important to carry on.
Don't give into despair; we must preservere.
If you don't want to be alone this evening, meet me in the dining hall.
-Cabanela
[Upon entering the dinning hall, you will find Cabanela sitting at one of the tables; he has lit two candles that are placed at the center of the table, but there's nothing else to note.
You'll have to supply your own food, since he doesn't have much of an appetite.]

How is he supposed to tell her about this? She doesn't even know Albion is in danger and she's doesn't know Reaver like he does-- did.
Instead of writing, Logan ends up staring down at the paper blankly. He's doing a bit better now and should you want to talk about... most of what happened, he'll do his best to explain.]
no subject
yeah, fuck feelingjams she stole all reaver's shit and she's only here so she can give his boyfriend the option of mementos or whatever.]
Do you, like, want any of his stuff before I take it?
no subject
Ah, yes, I... Thank you.
[He'll take the Dark Seal, that Golden Gun that he gave Reaver not too long ago, and the Multi-Sided Dice Set, because we are gigantic nerds in Albion.]
...Tabby, do you still have his room key?
[And that's... awkward, but you know what, there it is.]
no subject
there's a really complex moral code at play here that has nothing to do with the fact that the mun forgot lockpicking existed at 4am.]
Are you, like, going to go lie on his bed and be creepy? Because it, like, doesn't help.

[She considers just leaving him alone at that; there will be other times to talk to him and maybe now it's better to just give him his space, but she doesn't. She sits next to him- not so close that she's right up in his face, but close enough that they can comfortably talk.]
Are you gonna be okay?

But I doubt any of us were after witnessing something like that. How are you holding up?

[ So indeed... ]
Is it gonna be permanently weird that I, you know. Everything that just happened.
[ Got really aggressive at Reaver at very close quarters, accused him of murder, the whole nine yards.
... Basically he wants to know if they should actively avoid each other to avoid weirdness or if it's not being taken as a personal thing. Bakugou doesn't think it's personal, but even he picked up on the fact that, again, half the room seemed to be under the impression he and Reaver were fucking. ]

The words get him to tip his head slightly to the side as he considers them. He doesn't seem angry or even upset, really. Just distant.]
...No. I understand what you were trying to do and while I initially wanted to fight against it, to prove his innocence, I... knew there wasn't any other solution.
I apologize for my behavior. I never wanted any of you to die for him to live.
[As weird and warped as it is, he's pleased you kept pushing. He couldn't have said anything about his suspicions even if he had wanted to. It would have been dooming Albion and he could never do that.]
I do not take it as a personal slight, nor am I upset with you for it.

I appreciate it, though it was no one's fault but Reaver's.

Comforting Reaver's friend might not even be the right thing to do, given how quick Cabanela had been at going all Cop on the situation, but he'd be lying if he said he felt guilty about getting justice for Kaneki.
Did he want the man to die that way? No, of course not; he'd have rather he not died at all, honestly.
But there's nothing they can do now.
He awkwardly slides a plate containing two slices of toast near Logan, lightly buttered.]
Figured you might need something to eat.
no subject
...Thank you.
[He gestures to the seat across from him.]
I must apologize for my behavior today. You all were able to work it out on your own, but I should not have attempted to stall you.

[by "everything" she means that in addition to the tea pot and cups, she has a bag of sugar, a carton of milk, and an entire lemon.
she glances at the paper, notes the address, and smiles. now, this is something she knows about.]
Writing to family, huh? I was thinking about the same thing.
no subject
Logan sets about adding some milk and sugar to the tea after he's moved the paper away from it.]
Yes. My sister should be in charge of Albion in my absence. We ah... had a fight before I arrived here and I doubt she'll be pleased to hear from me.
[The Conductor most likely won't send letters that have too much information in them, which will only infuriate his sister. He's never been good at telling her everything she should know, so clearly he can't start now.]
...What are the members of your family like?
[And that sounds like a much more pleasant topic of conversation and Logan is here to be distracted after... that. All of that.]

...I've been better. I suppose everything is still sinking in.
[Six million people. Reaver. Maybe it would have been better if he had tried to reason with the others to spare Albion--
No. They wouldn't have gone for it. He knows that. If he couldn't get a majority then it would only tear the group apart and why should they sacrifice their lives for a land they know nothing about? For people they've never met when they have lives back in their worlds as well?
It isn't worth dwelling on it, but he can't stop thinking about it.]

[ He hasn't said much about her. That she's naive, yeah, and Sol's pretty sure he cares about her, but she knows nothing else about the girl. She drops into the seat beside Logan, looking at him curiously. ]
...What's she like?
no subject
[He sets the pen down and folds his hands before looking at Sol. Despite how even his expression and words are, his hands are shaking.]
She's... not the brightest and she often sticks her nose where it doesn't belong, but she genuinely does wish to help everyone. She can be unobservant and often lost in her own little world where nothing ever goes wrong, but she's strong-willed and once she's aware that something is wrong, she'll do everything in her power to fight to fix it.
...I miss her. I imagine she's still furious with me.
[That tends to happen when you force someone to choose between innocent people and their friend--

It's at that point Youko inhales deeply before letting out a quiet sigh. She'd rather not admit it, because that implied more feelings were involved than she'd like, but she was tired for reasons that had nothing to do with standing in one place for hours.
...Although hopefully this conversation would start with Logan offering her a place to sit. ]
