A fair amount of Sunday comes and goes with little interruption and little fanfare; some of you are having a harder time than others, some of you are looking at the new floor with more interest than the rest, but overall the day is perhaps as normal as it can get in this place.

However, Jericho had mentioned changes were going to take place today – and while Jericho has proven himself to be a lot of things, he doesn't seem too interested in lying to all of you. As such, his voice can be heard over the public-address system on Sunday evening, at around six o'clock; he doesn't seem agitated like he was during the end of the trial, but he doesn't seem up to his usual levels of enthusiasm, either – he's back to that sort of weird tone that he was using when Yosuke was punished all those weeks ago, odd and unaffected.

"Hey. Like I said a little while ago, we're going to be seeing some changes around here. Meet in the foyer as soon as possible; I'm not going to offer you anything, or threaten to do something to you if you don't go, but it's one of those things where you're definitely going to want to know what's going on.

We'll be waiting for you, like always."

Once again, you might want to go.

WEEK 6

You've lost a lot of people this week, haven't you? Katniss Everdeen and Weiss Schnee were killed for rule violations, while Chie Hori and Frank Archer were murdered by Mikoto Suoh and Yuuki Terumi. It doesn't really matter how they died, though, does it? After all, they're dead now and the only thing you can do is keep moving forward.

It seems like there's no end in sight.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Changes were promised to you this week; while Sunday dawns seeming no different from the previous weeks, it seems one change is going to remain a constant - namely, a new floor has been opened up to you. Whether this is a promising sign or not is something that you're going to need to decide for yourself.

The important thing, for now, is that you continue to do well.

[ Sometime shortly after the trial small notes will be folded underneath the doors of everyone still alive, and also posted to the staircase leading up to the upper floors. Not many of you have probably seen Elda's penmanship yet unless you checked that Penmanship check a while back, but it's impossibly impeccable fancy cursive script, to match with her old timey appearance. ... She also writes a lot more proper than she talks. ]

To My Fellows,

The half of you who didn't assist me in this are cordially invited to a celebration of our continued living, and to the memories of those who aren't. We are a mismatched group,
but it has become increasingly clear that we are together in this. Do not allow yourself to be alone.

We will be congregating in the ballroom for the rest of the night.

Better chefs than I will be providing food.

Sincerely,
Elda Marker

[ she's being somewhat facetious about half the group, but the fact does remain that she got more offers than she expected, when she set out to do this. She had expected that Sayaka would help, and indeed both her and Alex provide cookies and curry for the tables. Elda herself sets up the tables, dotting one longer central one made of smaller ones in the ballroom for things to sit on. The bulk of the food's provided by Tarrlok of all people, Chinese food by any other name. Susan, bless her, provides alcohol. Hibki, once she was clean, decided to run backup on preparing the food.

And then perhaps fittingly, Aligula provided the decorations. Steamers line the room, and little cut outs hang around. At Elda's instruction, it's a mix of cats, snakes, and bats. The majority of them have little faces on them. And finally, as and afterthought more than anything else, Elda makes some tea.

... Said tea is black tea and is impossibly dark and bitter because she can't taste it, but maybe that's what you want on a night like this. Who knows. ]

Two people have died so far this week. It's about as many as one can expect to lose per week around here and it isn't even the weekend; furthermore – whatever those two may have died for – it wasn't for the sake of Rule Seven. That much remains untouched, and as such, so does the incentive, begging the question of whether you're prepared for what may happen in a few days, if no one moves. Are you ready?

Are you really?

Friday morning dawns like the rest of the week before it; the clock chimes, the doors to the kitchen unlock, and there's a heavy silence that's settled over the building. You aren't even being awakened by Jericho this morning, which may seem like a good sign until the realization settles in – after all, that means the timer hasn't wound down.

In other words, someone is definitely dead.

Thankfully enough, as far as corpses go, the first two floors seem to be clear; that doesn't mean that nothing is amiss there, because some things may be, but at the very least there aren't any bodies here.

No guarantees for higher up, though.

[ Today's invitations are stupidly glittery. Like, there is an obscene amount of glitter? It is going to get everywhere and also on you and there is almost nothing you can do, so enjoy it. They are also obnoxiously colored, because Aligula has missed having the option of adding colors to all of her creations, and she has decided to rectify this.

Anyway, the message itself is blessedly simple, and written in her usual curly-cute script:

Christmas party in the ballroom at 5pm!!
Don't be late!!!
Lots of treats!!!!
also bring whatever you don't want from whatever you got out of that crappy vending machine because we're doing a
~SUPER SANTA SWAP MEET~
and a super special contest!!!

~ Aligula ♥

...The ballroom is likewise obnoxiously decorated, with cut-out Christmas trees and ornaments and chains of colorful streamers and... and look, we got an art studio. Aligula's determined to make up for lost time here. Her treats are all sorts of sweets, like cookies and cakes and a small parfait bar, but she actually does have some other things available: peanut butter and jelly finger sandwiches, an attempt at curry that's pretty bland, salad. The usual refreshments are there too—water, hot chocolate, milk with various syrups so you can make your own, some tea that's been steeped way too long sorry tea drinkers!!!

The swap meet is more or less relegated to the space by the piano; go dump your unwanted things and trade with other people, or just take it off their hands. Or, if you want to be more Santa-like, go gift someone something you don't want!!! Either to get it off your hands or because you think they'd actually like it, whatever. As for the contest...

There's a table marked "COORDY-J CONTEST" off to the side, with plenty of paper and supplies from the art storage—the rules are there too and also very simple: Draw what you think Jericho looks like, and the winner gets to throw the first doll into the fire. ]

WEEK 5

Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now.

It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going.

What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well.

Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you.

[Another week, another set of disasters. Hibiki’s head is still reeling from the lengthy ordeal that was Solf J. Kimblee. But it’s because of that exasperation that she’s able to turn her restlessness into something useful. It’s too late to set about making curry for everyone, so it’s time to make some easier dishes. A replication of Fern’s mac-and-cheese, somehow she’s whipped up some kind of donut to go with her animal-shaped rice balls. There’s coffee, tea...hopefully it’s enough? And if it’s not, Rin has provided some delicious Chinese food. And that always tastes better late at night, doesn’t it?

And for the adults (or the exasperated teenagers), Susan is carting down booze from the bar. Joy. Hibiki’s never written to the group en masse before, but she delivers a piece of paper to everyone while Rin and Susan finish up the preparations. Each paper has a drawing of an animal on it, too.]

Too much has happened today. Whether you want to get angry, cry, smile, laugh, or just be out of your room, you don’t have to do it alone. Rin and I have prepared food for everyone, and Susan’s brought the drinks downstairs so none of us have to go into the bar tonight.

Even if it’s just for a little while, won’t you think about joining us in the dining room tonight? Being together is just as important as working hard. And remember, nankurunaisa!

-Hibiki Ganaha

[Three more candles are lit today. Tabitha Smith. Sigrun Eide. Solf Kimblee. They’re all Cabanela’s doing. There aren't any decorations, but the food is spaced out so everyone should be able to grab something and munch if they need it. It’s not clear how many people will come, but a serious attempt was made this time.]

And once everyone has done what they need to do and gathered at that bottom of that stairwell in the dormitory, the door before them once again seems to unlatch and swing outward, lightly and of its own volition. It's the fourth time in the span of about a month; perhaps there's some strange, dark sense of familiarity in it.

Perhaps, too, that stairwell leading further down is beginning to feel familiar, dark and unwelcoming though it is; the courtroom is still illuminated at the bottom of it, sending a slight amount of light up the stairs and guiding everyone down to that stark room made of concrete and steel.

The podium circle stands still and silent in the center, waiting for everyone to take their place around the darkened pit below; once again, there's been a change in the circle itself in the form of three more podiums joining the ranks of the deceased. Fern, Tabby, and Sigrun all have their places in the circle marked with black cloth and a photograph in greyscale, keeping watch over all of you in a manner both unseeing and vaguely judgmental.

As always, the thirty-sixth podium stands blank and unoccupied among you.

Once everyone has found their place in the circle, Jericho can be heard over the public-address system; he seems to have collected himself at some point during the investigation, it shows in his voice, as little as anyone really wants it to.

"For better or worse, Boundless is no longer among you. I'm sure you guys all know what that means by now, what you're here to do.

And before you ask, because I know it's going to come up eventually and now's as good a time as any - yeah, we'd have you down here if someone tries to be a big damn hero for the group, because someone's still dead because somebody fucked up. It just means the dead person and the guilty person are the same person.

So you know what, the game's the same, no matter what happened here - innocent against the guilty, fourth time, let's go! And as always, do your best!

As the fourth week comes to a close and Friday morning dawns like the rest of the week before it, with the chiming of the clock and the doors to the kitchen unlocking, it seems, for a brief moment, that everything will be normal. For a given degee of "normal", anyway – perhaps some are on edge because there's a definite pattern that's been happening here, but for a few blissful moments, everything seems quiet.

It doesn't last long; eventually, Jericho's voice can be heard over the public-address system. He doesn't sound as excitable as usual, though perhaps that can be explained away with the content of his message:

"Hey. Just so you know, we've kind of got a problem this morning. Nothing catastrophic or anything, but you might want to get into the foyer so you know what's going on.

We'll be waiting."

You might want to go.

[ With all the hubbub Aligula's been up for few weeks now and especially today, it should really, really not be a surprise that closing in around the evening, flyers start appearing pretty much everywhere, in true Aligula tradition.

There's an extra notice slipped under everyone's doors as well: i made costumes and you're not allowed to tell a ghost story unless you wear one!!!! they'll be in the bar with everything else so don't worry it's all taken care of~~~~ ♥

...yeah.

8pm sees the bar decorated with a lot of toilet paper—mummies were here, obviously—as well as cut-outs of cats, bats, ghosts, owls, and a few freaky looking things that are probably native to Aligula's world. Additionally, the bar counter is laden with dozens of treats, ranging from slightly overdone cookies (sugar, chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, snickerdoodle) roughly shaped like popular Halloween motifs like bats, ghosts, and something attempting to be a pumpkin; thumbprint cookies with some sort of raspberry jelly on them that's a little too sweet, thick, and sticky; to somewhat lopsided chocolate and vanilla cakes, topped with whipped cream frosting and mixed berries. There's hot chocolate and water for people who prefer not to take any of the alcohol that's naturally in the bar, and...

True to her notice, there are costumes laid across several tables and chairs that have been pushed together: bedsheets with fancy embroidery around the hem for some expensive-looking bedsheet ghosts, witch costumes, robes for every monster occasion, cat-ear headbands + tail combination and a marker for whiskers, the same except dog-themed, black capes with red insides for vampires...

If you told her a preference and let her measure you, your costume set aside with a piece of paper with your name attached to it! If not, well. Bedsheet ghosts and capes are one size fit all, though she attempted to eyeball (ha) most everyone, so maybe one of these other ones fit you? Or maybe you don't care and you're not going to tell a ghost story anyway, so whatever.

The ghost stories, by the way, have their own little throne—there's one table pulled away from the others that's covered with a blanket and has a pillow and a few of those cute Cerberus plushes that come out of the machine with it. Take a seat and share something spooky—tis the season in this room, after all. ]

WEEK 4

Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room.

You all have a lot to discuss, don't you?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials.

It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done?

[Well, when you come upstairs, you'll have a little while to regroup; it'll be about half an hour or so before Jericho addresses all of you again. Unusual for him, really, but it seems he's got something to say to you guys.]

Meet in the dining hall. I know you probably don't want to eat or anything right now, but I've got something to show you guys that you're all going to want to be aware of.

[You can come, or don't, but it's in your best interests to actually do it so you know what you're dealing with.

One of the long walls in the dining room seems to have had several lines of text burned into it, glaring dark and highly visible at all of you; regardless of what you do to it, the words aren't going to come off.

They read as follows:

Kyrie Ushiromiya absolutely loathes Battler Ushiromiya, finding him a reminder of all the envy she felt towards Rudolf's first wife. Even though she keeps a friendly relationship with him, she can barely stand him.

Sayaka Maizono has ruined the careers of 14 budding idols to keep her place in the idol industry.

Weiss Schnee's family has made the Battle of Beacon out to be her fault. They aren't incorrect.

Just by being alive, Estellise Sidos Heurassein is causing her world to die.

Solf J Kimblee is willingly and knowingly aiding a military operation to start a war that may end in the complete annihilation of the human race.

Tarrlok is the bloodbending son of notorious crime lord Yakone, and he is responsible for his own brother's death.

Frank Archer blackmailed the Fuhrer of Amestris into letting him start a war. This war results in the deaths of 7,000 soldiers.

Kirei Kotomine believes his existence is fundamentally flawed because he only feels joy in the suffering and anguish of others.

Yuuki Terumi is the God Susano'o.

Angel killed her mother and betrayed everyone who ever trusted her.

Inspector Cabanela is responsible for the death of Yomiel.

Orihime Inoue was kidnapped and held hostage once. She was given the opportunity to say goodbye to one person and one person only. She chose the boy she was in love with above everyone else, including her childhood best friend.

Alex has doomed a girl to nonexistence multiple times.

Magic is not a myth. It's a secret art practiced still to this day, and those practitioners are meant to do away with any outsider who learns of its existence. Rin Tohsaka is a mage, and the supervisor tasked with ensuring all things magical or supernatural are hidden from the public in her city.

Tabitha Smith is a terrorist working under the Beyond Corporation. She's responsible for the destruction of at least four known cities, with potential casualties in the high thousands.

Yuri Lowell was responsible for the murder of a high-ranking councilman and a knight captain, and he also planned on killing a close friend.

Aligula is still a virgin.

Sigrun Eide is responsible for Tuuri Hotakainen taking her own life.

Hibiki Ganaha cries when she's all by herself. That's why she takes care of so many animals; she doesn't even know how to get along with her family and friends.

Chie Hori is best friends with an inhuman serial killer.

Mikoto Suoh is willing to let 700,000 or so people die, including his clan members.

Luca Valentino is an illegal, unlicensed magic-user who has used his magic to threaten and assault others in the past, and the reason he hasn't killed anyone here yet is because he can't easily do it without that magic.

Katniss Everdeen did nothing as hundreds of Capitol children died in an explosion. She singlehandedly caused the rebellion that resulted in thousands of lives lost. In addition to illegally hunting and bartering poached goods, Katniss Everdeen flaunted her distrust of the Capitol and voted to put on a Hunger Games using Capitol children.

Rideaux Zek Rugievit is personally responsible for the destruction of dozens of dimensions, along with the worlds within them.

Adelina's selfish desires caused years of her sister's life to be unfulfilling and joyless.

Susan Ashworth's actions led to the death of her husband and infant daughter.

Elda Marker and her family are vampires. She founded the family in Japan two hundred years ago after she was forced to leave her homeland to survive, leaving behind her parents and younger brother.

Dynamic, if you can't read all that, Alena can tell you what it says later. She's a little...tired right now, so you all had better leave her alone for the night.

Methodical and Nurturing both made an attempt at Rule Seven, so they're clear. Sorry about the rest of you, though.

And once everyone has finished their investigations of the building, the door down at the bottom of that stairwell in the dorms seems to once again have been unlocked; it opens slowly and as though of its own volition, swinging outward lightly after an audible click of the latch. Hopefully everyone knows better than to stand in front of it by now, but if not...well, it's gentle enough to provide some sort of encouragement to move without straight-out hitting anyone.

For the third time in as many weeks, the stairwell that door leads to is dark; the only light visible is what managing to get in from the courtroom below. The room itself remains as unforgiving and imposing as ever with its walls made entirely of concrete and steel; the podium circle stands starkly in the center, wooden structures ringing the darkened pit below.

Again, there's been a change in the podium setup; Blue and Walt have joined those with podiums draped in black. Their profile portraits are arranged atop them, greyed-out and observing the proceedings, along with the rest of those that you've lost.

As always, the thirty-sixth podium stands empty.

Once everyone has found their place in the circle, Jericho can be heard over the public-address system; he seems to have gotten himself together a little more since morning, though he still doesn't quite seem up to the usual.

"Methodical's been taken from you; almost all of you know why you're here right now, and even if your secrets aren't safe anymore, I'd still suggest doing your job to the fullest - unless you consider those secrets worth dying over, even if they aren't worth killing over.

As for the guilty party...your secret's safe with me, but unfortunately?
You're not safe at all just yet. Whether you manage to actually ensure that you are by the end of the trial is a different matter, I guess.

The third week in this place has come and gone; it was more peaceful for some of you than others, but given the incentive hanging over everyone's heads since Tuesday, that's quite possibly not saying much. Between the party game and some of the actions you all have been taking this week, though, perhaps you've opened up to one another a bit more than you would have normally; surely that can only be considered a good thing overall.

The question remains, though: has it been enough?

Friday morning dawns like the rest of the week before it; the clock chimes, the doors to the kitchen unlock, and there's a heavy silence that's settled over the building. The first floor is even clear of anything that might be immediately amiss, which is possibly a good sign.

There's also a few bottles of booze Chie grabbed from the bar. Drink responsibly, please.

Have fun playing truth or dare, everyone! Remember, you can refuse a truth or a dare if you want to, but then you'll have to drink one of the shots of hot sauce Chie has prepared. Unless you're being asked to reveal what's in your envelope, then you can refuse without punishment. ]

WEEK 3

You all got to witness Yosuke Hanamura's death earlier this past week. You know what the punishment for breaking the rules is. With Chitoge Kirisaki and Blue's deaths, you're painfully aware of just how little trust this group really has. How long until someone kills again? What about that time limit the Coordinators imposed? Will there be another incentive?

There are so many questions, but not a whole lot of answers.

And when you wake up, you'll discover that a pattern seems to be emerging, at least as far as the building itself goes; a new floor is available to you, a stairwell across a short hallway from the one on the second floor having unlocked itself. There's not too much of a question about it as a result - at least, as far as what it means.

It's definitely a reward.

[In some ways, this trial was simpler. The killer was lacking in remorse, the victim innocent. The lines were clearer. Was that better, or worse?

Either way, Fern and Alex make up something of a green team, preparing a meal in the kitchen. Nothing particularly complicated. Coffee and water for whoever want it is at one end of the dining table. Along the rest of it is a variety of foods. A plate of cheese and crackers, a bowl of salad and carrots for the healthy people, some handy finger sandwiches, and... a big pot of mac and cheese. What they lack in presentation they make up in sheer volume of food. That's a big tub of mac and cheese.

They struggle with the invitations for a bit before eventually coming up with possibly the most awkward phrasing possible. These notes are quietly shoved under doors with little fanfare more than a quick knock.

We got food in eat place. Food is good to eat. Enjoy food with us?

Once again, as people finish their investigations and make their way toward the door at the bottom of those stairs in the dorms, the door down there is unlocked once again. It opens as though of its own volition, with a loud clicking sound and a soft outward swing, not firmly enough to harm anyone who might be standing in the way but enough to give them some slight encouragement to move.

The stairwell it leads to is once again dark, the only light coming in from the courtroom below, if it can really properly be called that. It stands as cold and unforgiving as it did last week, all concrete and steel and the podium circle in the center, surrounding the darkened pit in the middle. Nothing can be seen down there for the time being; it simply seems like a large black hole leading nowhere.

Three more podiums have joined Jean's in being arranged differently from the rest; Caren, Yosuke, and Chitoge have all joined the ranks of the deceased, their podiums draped in black with their profile portraits sitting atop them, greyed-out and watching the room with unseeing eyes.

The thirty-sixth podium remains empty and blank, as always.

Once everyone has found their place in the circle, the public-address system comes to life once more, and after a moment Jericho's voice can be heard

"Dexterous has been taken from you; seems like a lot of you were friends with her, and you all know why you're here by now and what you're supposed to do. So hopefully you guys won't be disrespectful assholes again and expect me to make you give a damn this time! Be self-centered about it all you want, just do your jobs. After all, it's in your best interests to do that.

As always, do your best - I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.
"

Thirty-one Participants remain. However many are left at the end of the day is up to you.

Second.

This week hasn't been good for a lot of you. Between the trial last weekend and strange dreams plaguing your sleep, the incident involving Yosuke on Monday, and the fact that apparently your captors are incentivizing you to kill one another, tensions have been high and spirits have been low overall.

Worst of all, you're still trapped here.

Friday morning dawns like the rest of the week before it; the clock chimes, the doors to the kitchen unlock, and there's a heavy silence that's settled over the building. However, it seems apparent that today isn't going to be just another day almost from the start, at least for some of you.

Namely, the floor is wet in one of the dormitory hallways.

The floors are wooden in here, so there's a good amount of it in the hall, seeing as it hasn't really soaked into anything properly; that said, it's just wet and spreading, not totally flooded or anything. It's the hall between rooms 21-25 that's currently the concern.

You might want to see what's going on. And do try to avoid stepping in it unless you're wearing shoes.
